March System Performance Committee meeting

March System Performance Committee meeting

The OPTN/UNOS Ad Hoc System Performance Committee will meet in Chicago March 11-12, 2019 to review and formalize their recommendations to drive transplant system performance and effectiveness. The meeting is open to the public (registration closed on March 4). View agenda.

Over the last few months, the committee identified specific metrics, tools, projects and efforts that measure or support system performance.

“March isn’t the finish line, but a starting point. The ideas generated by the committee will be used to measure and improve the transplant system for years to come,” said Matthew Cooper, M.D., System Performance Committee co-chair.

After hearing the committee’s initial presentation, attendees at the March meeting will participate in breakout sessions to help committee members finalize the recommendations they will present to the Board of Directors in June. The tools and measures they recommend must take into account the interdependence of the transplant program/OPO relationship.

Due to space considerations, participation is limited to two people per organization.
